Animated Series
Appears On Premium Trading Cards For First Time
RALEIGH,
NC – June 25, 2003 – DC Comics’ JUSTICE LEAGUE™ Animated
TV Series is featured for the first time on premium trading cards.
Inkworks announces the June 25th release of the
all-new JUSTICE LEAGUE Premium Trading Cards based on the Cartoon
Network series produced by Warner Bros. Animation.
The base set consists of 81 cards showcasing the JUSTICE LEAGUE,
which includes the World’s Greatest Super Heroes: Superman™, Batman™,
Wonder Woman™, The Flash™, Hawkgirl™, Green Lantern™ and Martian
Manhunter™.
“Bringing the JUSTICE LEAGUE to trading cards is extremely exciting,” said Allan Caplan, president of Inkworks. “I have been a huge fan and collector of DC Comics and their characters since childhood. When Inkworks was given the chance to create these cards, we wanted to insure that they would be high quality, a good value, but most importantly, great fun to collect and trade”
The
JUSTICE LEAGUE premium trading card set from Inkworks is packed with
colorful dynamic images of the World’s Greatest Super Heroes and their
adventures. In addition to
the premium base set, there are several levels of randomly inserted
bonus cards including:

AUTOGRAPH CARD – An autographed card from JUSTICE LEAGUE series producer and designer, Bruce Timm. (1 Card - Appx. odds 1:359 packs).

SKETCH CARDS – Five different JUSTICE LEAGUE professional animators have hand-drawn unique, individually numbered sketch cards. (Five different artists - Appx. odds 1:100 packs).

FRIENDS AND FOES – One Per Pack! Eighteen foil cards to collect featuring the friends and foes of the JUSTICE LEAGUE. These cards are printed on a thick, 20 point, ultra-premium card stock. (18 cards - Appx. odds 1:1 pack).

WORLD’S GREATEST HEROES – Nine-card foil puzzle featuring the members of the JUSTICE LEAGUE. (9 cards - Appx. odds 1:11 packs).

ACTIONWORKS™ CARDS – Seven cards featuring each of the JUSTICE LEAGUE super heroes with lenticular zoom action. (7 cards - Appx. odds 1:17 packs).

CASE LOADER CARD – Each factory sealed case of JUSTICE LEAGUE premium trading cards will contain one lenticular zoom Actionworks™ card of all seven members of the JUSTICE LEAGUE. (1 card – 1 per case).
Each pack of JUSTICE LEAGUE cards contains seven premium trading cards and has a suggested retail price of $1.99. Display boxes contain 36 packs. There is also a JUSTICE LEAGUE collector album and a limited, numbered uncut mini-press sheet of "World’s Greatest Heroes." Only 199 sequentially numbered uncut mini-press sheets are available.
