RALEIGH, NC – Inkworks prepares to invade the world on July 3, 2002, with premium trading cards that have all the power and unspoken authority that is MIB.  The original Men in Black feature film grossed over $600 million worldwide and the original Men in Black trading card set from Inkworks sold out in a flash, so it is no surprise that Men in Black II is expected to open to explosive popularity when Agents Jay and Kay return to “save the Earth from the scum of the universe.”

The Men in Black II card series is jam-packed with value.  The 81-card base set includes movie story cards as well as subsets including Alien Identifier Cards, Inside the MIB Cards and More.  In addition, Men in Black fans and collectors have the opportunity to find multiple levels of specially created, randomly inserted, bonus cards including:

• WEAPONS OVERVIEW CARDS – Six  cards featuring the latest information on the hi-tech weapons in the MIB armory.  Know these weapons and respect them. (Six cards – Appx. odds 1:17 packs).

• NEURALYZER FOIL CARDS – Two foil cards (Two cards – Appx. odds 1:35 packs).  

• PIECEWORKS CARDS – Three different show-worn costume-embedded cards featuring the official MIB suits, a Postal uniform shirt worn by Tommy Lee Jones and Postal uniform shorts also worn by Tommy Lee Jones  (Three cards – Appx. odds 1:35 packs – The Tommy Lee Jones Postal uniform shirt and shorts cards are found in Hobby Exclusive Boxes Only. The official MIB suits are found in both Hobby Exclusive and Retail boxes). Pieceworks cards will be inserted into random packs; no redemption cards required.

• AUTOGRAPHED CARDS – The autographed cards that have been confirmed to date include:  Tommy Lee Jones, Lara Flynn Boyle, Director Barry Sonnenfeld, Tony Shalhoub, Linda Kim, Mary Stein, and creator Lowell Cunningham (Number of cards and Appx. odds 1:50 packs – Autographed cards are found in Hobby Exclusive Boxes Only).

• BOX LOADER and CASE LOADER cards – Three different box loader cards (one card per sealed display box – Hobby Exclusive Display Boxes Only) and one special Hobby Exclusive unique foil case loader card (one card per sealed case – Hobby Cases Only).

• PLUS, three different special foil cards that can be found in random packs of specially-marked Retail boxes. (Three cards – Appx. odds 1:11 packs – Found in Retail Boxes Only)

Men in Black II trading card packs contain seven collector cards and have a suggested retail price of $1.99 each.  Display boxes contain 36 packs. Inkworks guarantees that each sealed display box will contain at least one complete, defect-free base set and will gladly replace any damaged cards or replace any cards missing from the base set.   A Men in Black II collector album has been created to hold these cards.  It has a suggested retail price of $19.95.
