Inkworks has been granted the license to produce the officially licensed trading cards for the hit television show,
Smallville.
Smallville, which airs on
The WB, is
critically acclaimed series that takes a look at Superman's adolescence in his adopted hometown. Viewers get the chance to see Clark Kent as a teen dealing with his emerging powers. They also get to see the beginning of Clark's
relationships with Lex Luthor, Lana Lang and other key figures who will have a long-lasting impact on his life and the fate of the world.
Smallville premium trading cards from Inkworks has been released. The
90-card base set includes Episodic Coverage, Character Cards,
Welcome to Smallville Cards, Smallville Torch Cards, Heir to
LuthorCorp Cards, Amazing Abilities Cards, and Destiny Cards.
In addition to the base set, the series
will be loaded with randomly inserted bonus cards including: -
Smallville High: A 9-card foil puzzle featuring
Clark, Lex, Lana, and the gang. Inserted approximately 1:11
packs. - Spring
Formal: Six cards featuring your favorite characters in
their formal dance attire. Inserted approximately 1:17
packs. - Pieceworks
Cards: Four different cards embedded with Clark's
t-shirt, Lana's jeans, Pete's shirt and Jonathan's plaid shirt.
Inserted approximately 1:59 packs. -
Autograph Cards: Six different autographed cards.

Season One Premium Trading Cards will be packed seven cards per
pack, 36 packs per display box. The suggested retail price
will be $1.99 per pack. An
uncut mini-press sheet of "Smallville High" will be
available. Only 250 sequentially numbered sheets are
available (suggested retail price $69.95). A Smallville:
Season One collector binder will also be produced (suggested
retail price $19.95).

Smallville: Season One Preview set was released on July 31,
2002.
